TEACHING PRACTICE- PHASE 1( WEEKLY REFLECTION- 8 )

This week marked the eighth week (22-09-25 to 25-09-25) of my teaching practice.

During this week, I focused mainly on revising the lessons I had taught earlier, especially the topic Pressure. I conducted recap sessions using quizzes, flashcards, and small group activities to make revision enjoyable. It was heartwarming to see how well the students responded — they remembered key concepts, used scientific terms confidently, and even related them to real-life examples.

One of the most memorable moments this week was the students expressing their gratitude and affection. Their feedback made me realize that teaching is not just about imparting knowledge but about building trust and connection. Their enthusiasm gave me immense satisfaction and reaffirmed my decision to choose teaching as my profession.

I also spent time reflecting on my own progress. Over these weeks, I learned to manage classrooms effectively, use different teaching aids, and adapt my methods according to students’ needs. I gained confidence in lesson planning, questioning, and time management. Most importantly, I learned the art of patience and empathy — two essential qualities every teacher must have.

As my teaching practice came to a close, I felt a sense of accomplishment mixed with nostalgia. This experience has transformed me from a student of teaching into a teacher-in-making, ready to step into real classrooms with renewed energy and commitment.

On 25th Thursday, the school level youth festival was conducted on school. There were variety of programs including dances, songs and musical instrument events.
